One of the questions that I've been asked regularly which I have not addressed yet is. How did I find out that I had dementia?
I also wanted to address what I've learned how other people have found out they have dementia as well, so I waited until I had done some research first. Most importantly I wanted to make sure I helped fill in some of the gaps that people are having around how to find out if they have dementia or maybe they are suffering aging or maybe they just have selective the memory according to your spouse.
No matter how many people you talk to, how many meetings you attend, speak publicly, chase kids, whatever. That voice inside your head, the one you've had all your life is rarely still.

Owning Your Situation is the Bravest Thing You Can Ever Do

Today’s topic gets right to the core of living with dementia. What does it feel like? Along with discussing what it feels like, we will cover Positive Living, Coping Mechanisms, and things that people do to people with dementia that create a problem.
Each time I have presented this presentation it has changed people’s minds about dementia and they had lots of significant questions. I have received great feedback and letters of appreciation so I want to share it on Wandering Lite.
Being positive is a choice, some days it is not an easy one, I know. But what I have learned is that I can be in control, I can choose, and so can you.
What I have learned about living my life deliberately with dementia is the cornerstone of my being able to be positive every day. You can too.
Helping others can make a big difference in living each day with a positive attitude.
Goals - So just because you didn’t achieve it today doesn’t mean you should give up on it.
